The mission of the Reading Readiness program is to instill a love for reading and literacy in all children. We have been able to donate books three times a year to children ages three through five that live in and attend school or daycare in North Augusta. Our organization distributes 4,000 books a year, and the program has allowed us to donate a total of more than 85,000 books in the past.
Graduating seniors from North Augusta High School and Fox Creek High School are invited to apply for one of our $500 scholarships that will be awarded in May at Senior Awards Day. Applications are due by Friday, May 13, 2024. Best of luck to all those applying!
The North Augusta Junior Women's League is an organization that empowers women to serve the community in a positive way. This group of women strives to combine their time, talents, and energies to meet the needs of the schools and families in North Augusta. The NAJWL makes a positive impact on the children of North Augusta through fundraisers that help to support North Augusta schools and the needs of the children attending those schools. Additionally, our organization is always willing to lend a helping hand to children in need of basic school supplies or Christmas assistance. We are able to do this through the support of our fundraising events throughout the year! NAJWL is involved in local events such as the Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee, the North Augusta Christmas Tree Lighting, and our annual Oyster Roast! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for current details.
Your support and contributions will enable us to grow these programs and strengthen our community!
